Made by Ore specialises in high quality jewellery and silversmithing classes and offers an open access workshop, private tuition and a range of classes for all abilities.

If you would like to continue with your making, but don’t have the room at home. Or perhaps you are a recent graduate and need a flexible and low cost space to make your work? Why not come and use our Studio? We aim to be flexible, so if you have specific requirements please get in touch to check we have what you need.

Made By Ore runs a flexible Hot Bench and Assisted Hot Bench system, so you can use the studio for as little or as long as you need to.

Simple Hot Benching:
Come down for one day – month at your convenience. You rent a bench and have full use of the tools and equipment (that you are trained to use) and are on your own working, i.e. you should be competent in the jewellery studio, be competent in all the techniques you will be attempting and know how to use all the tools you intend to use safely and correctly.

Generally this is for people who have studied jewellery at college or taken a few day/evening classes etc and would like time to develop on their own. It is ideal for independent makers, working towards a show deadline or for project work.

Supported Hot Benching:
This is for those who have a bit of experience, but don’t feel ready to go it completely alone, and would like to work mostly independently, but have the opportunity to ask a few questions here and there, or get some advice if something is not going quite as planned!
